Nursery: We have one Nursery class, for children aged 3 on 1st September in the year of admission. We accept children to start in the Nursery only in September. Parents wishing to apply for a place in our Nursery should contact the school office for application forms and for details of our application deadline dates: contact details are on our School Information page.
Reception: All applications for admission to Reception class, for children who are aged 4 on 1st September in the year of admission, must be made via your local (home) council. The law does not currently permit applications to be made directly to the School. Details about how to apply, including our application form, Supplementary Information Form and Admissions (acceptance and oversubscription) Criteria, are available from the school office or here (Brent Council web site), and can be downloaded here:
You may also contact the appropriate department of your local council. It is essential that the regulations and requirements for applications are followed carefully to ensure that your application is valid, including meeting the deadlines for submitting applications and responding to offers. Reception places are offered for September start only.
Our Admissions Policy as published above applies for 2018/19 and for 2019/20. Parents whose application for a place at Torah Temimah is unsuccessful, have a right of appeal. Details of how to appeal, together with our admissions appeal timetable for 2018/19 and for 2019/20, can be found here:
We hold Open Morning and Open Evening events during the autumn term each year for parents who are considering applying for a place at Torah Temimah for the following September. Details are publicised in the widely-read Jewish Tribune and Hamodia newspapers in September/October, or are available from the school office. We welcome informal enquiries at other times about places at Torah Temimah: please contact the school office.
We will maintain a waiting list for at least the first term of the academic year of admission. Each new application will require the list to be ranked again in line with the published oversubscription criteria. It is therefore possible that children’s positions on the waiting list may move down as well as up.
Other classes: Applications for “In-Year Admissions” to all other classes at any time of the year (including for September start) should be made directly to the School. Please contact the school office for details of how to apply. Applications for in-year admissions will be subject to the same acceptance and over-subscription criteria as those for the Reception class as noted above.
Admission of children outside their normal age group: Parents of gifted and talented children, or those who have experienced problems or missed part of a year, for example due to ill health, can seek places outside their normal age group. We will make decisions on the basis of the circumstances of each case. Parents have a statutory right to appeal decisions, unless they are offered a place in another year group at the school.
